 Session 2: Turkish Food for Your Special Guests  

In this session, we will be preparing three types of foods that are Creamy Squash Soup, Meatball with Mash Potato and Almond Dessert.

Creamy Squash Soup (Kremali Kabak Corbasi):  Smooth, creamy (without being heavy), and subtly sweet, this iteration will be entering your rotation throughout the Fall and Winter months. It contains lots of vegetable that may help you stay healthy. Ingredients for this soup include; squash, onions, potato, carrots and various spices.

 

 

Meatball with Mash Potato (Hasan Pasa Koftesi):

This super easy Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes recipe is sure to be a family favorite. It’s a comfort food classic that’s perfect to serve any day of the week! An easy recipe everyone will love. Ingredients for this include; ground beef, potato, onion, eggs, milk, and various spices

 

 

Almond Dessert (Badem Tatlisi):

A dessert in the Turkish cuisine. With its sweet honey like taste, badem tatlisi is a favorite for many people. It is made with coconuts, nuts and almond with a special homemade syrup. Ingredients for this dessert include; eggs, powdered sugar, various kinds of nuts, unsalted butter etc..  It is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

 

Important Notes:

This is a hands-on cooking class. Ingredients and cooking materials will be provided at the event place. Each participant will take part in the preparing/cooking process and take samples home.

Fee: $15/person (fee can be paid on the day of the event/cash only)
